They also made a fashionable duo, with Gaga in a sequined top, black briefs, and fishnet tights from Celine by Hedi Slimane and Cardi with a number from the archives: a white fringed gown from Thierry Mugler’s Spring 1997 collection.

Cardi is known to be a longtime Lady Gaga fan. Last year, a video of her performing “Bad Romance” at her high school talent show went viral, and Mother Monster herself even came across the throwback clip on social media.

“I LIVE,” she wrote while retweeting the video in April 2018.

She also quoted Cardi’s “Get Up 10” track in another tweet. “Fall down 9 times but I get up 10! @iamcardib SPEAK WOMAN,” Gaga wrote.

The “Born This Way” singer also caught sight of a tweet Cardi posted in 2016, citing Gaga as one of her role models. “When I was a teenager lady Gaga changed my life,” Cardi wrote. “She inspired me to be myself & be different.”

Two years later, Gaga tweeted back, “Love you girl.”

Gaga also had a mini celebration of her own after meeting Cardi last night and posted a video of herself on dancing to rapper’s song “I Like It” on her Instagram Story. (The clip played J Balvin’s lyric where he name-drops the singer: “Pa-Pa-Paparazzi like I’m Lady Gaga.”)

“Mood after winning 3 Grammys, a BAFTA, and finally meeting @iamcardib all on a Sunday evening,” Gaga captioned the vid.

Cardi had also said at the 2017 VMAs that one of her dream collaborators is her “idol,” Lady Gaga. “I wanna let you know that I love you, bitch!” the rapper said in a red carpet interview with Billboard.

Actor Damilola Ogunsi – Why I’m Qualified For My Role In Anikulapo

Published

on

Nollywood actor Damilola Ogunsi has corrected a viewer of ‘Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre’ who referred to him as white.

The albino actor played the role of an angel in the recently released series by film-maker Kunle Afolayan.

However, the decision to use Ogunsi as an angel did not go down well with a viewer with the X handle Ohjay1 who faults it.

Sharing a clip from a scene from the series where the protagonist, Saro (played by Kunle Remi) met an angel (played by Damilola Ogunsi) at the gates of heaven, wrote, “This thing has to stop, why use white as angel inside black movie #Anikulapo.”

Reacting, the albino actor said it feels good for him not to be recognised.

He, however, said he is “blacker” than anyone in the scene.

Reposting the viewer’s tweet, Ogunsi wrote, “Feels good not to be recognized.

“I’m sure I’m ‘blacker’ than anyone in that scene.”
