A lingerie shop is encouraging couples to shop in-store together this Christmas after it was inspired by two customers.

The couple, Leigh, 34 and Nicola, 32 visited SoS Lingerie located in Hoar Cross, Staffordshire and purchased a beautiful set of lingerie together.

Staffordshire Live reports that the store has now introduced ‘Date Days’ on the run-up to Christmas to motivate other couples to do the same.

Store owner, Justine Oldfield, 55, from Mickleover told Staffordshire Live: “For too long purchasing lingerie has been about women only so it was great to welcome in this couple who inspired me to try something new.

“We have found that when a partner attends a fitting with his wife or girlfriend they realise how buying underwear is not just a case of grab and go.

“It gives them a whole new perspective on the complexities of getting the right fit – and how it can transform the look of outfits and the confidence of their partner.”

Mrs Oldfield received a LoveBiz Entrepreneur of the Year award earlier this year.

The store is now taking bookings for the Date Days which include drinks and snacks provided by The Deer Park in Hoar Cross.

When asked how about the feedback received from the first few bookings, Mrs Oldfield said: “Feedback and bookings have been extremely positive since launching this new way of lingerie shopping.
