You snatched him from someone – Reactions trail Ruth Kadiri’s birthday photos of husband

Published

on

Nollywood actress, Ruth Kadiri Ezerika is celebrating her husband’s birthday today, Tuesday June 7.

The mother of one shared photos of herself and hubby on her verified Instagram page where she also eulogized her man.

“Happy birthday husband. The man with the brightest smile, a brilliant mind. And the most ambitious man I know. A soft hearted man wrapped in a tough shell. I’ve seen you serve people, humbly, and as annoying as it is to me, you’ve shown me that service to man  and God is not a sign of weakness.”

“I love you, your humility, your peace, your silence, your listening ear, above all the headache you give me with your stubbornness, happy birthday chief,” she wrote.

However, her choice of photos for the celebration didn’t go down well with some of her followers who questioned her for always hiding her husband’s face despite the fact that they have been married for years.

A particular follower, @theultimatemildaofficial wondered if Ruth Kadiri snatched her husband from someone else.

She wrote, “You hide him as if you snatched him from someone else.”

It is no longer news that Mrs. Ezerika, has continued to successfully keep her marriage and husband’s identity a top-secret, she tells her reasons in a recent interview, “Okay, first of all, my marriage is not top-secret. If it were top-secret, you wouldn’t know that I’m married. Secondly, my husband is not top-secret, if you are close to me and you know me in the real sense, you would know that he’s not a secret. My husband goes to the location, he visits my set when I’m working. He’s home, my friends come home, they know him, they’ve had interactions with him, family and friends know him, what else? That’s just about it. I’m not about stressing emotionally, mentally, I’m just okay. Anybody that knows me personally, knows my husband and that’s alright.”

“The relationship was toxic and abusive” – Sheggz’ Ex-girlfriend, BeautybyBemi

Published

on

Evicted Big Brother Naija star, Sheggz is currently trending on social media after his ex-lover broke her silence on the damaging allegations that she suffered abuse at his hands.

After 9 weeks of silence since her video resurfaced accusing an ex. who netizens deciphered to be Sheggz, the lady on identified as BeautybyBemi has finally spoken up and explained in detail her side of the story.

During his media rounds, Sheggz denied the accuser narrative that people have been trying to pin on him and said Bemi didn’t mention his name in her initial video so he couldn’t be the abuser she spoke about.

His fanbase, Sheggz Fc was elated because they believed Sheggz had defended and proved himself innocent. They decided to call out Bemi, threaten her and drag her because they believed she used for Sheggz to chase clout and promote her YouTube page.

Bemi decided she had had enough of the insults and decided to speak her truth.

Read her lengthy narration below ;

I’ve kept quiet all this while because I thought this will all just die down.

However, one thing I will not allow is to have you people bully me or try to come for my bag.

You have called me all sorts of names; sent death threats and rained numerous curses on me. Over a situation that is true & 100% facts. I have nothing to do with the video resurfacing and the unwarranted harassment is still ongoing.

We dated on & off between 2019-2021. During the relationship he was mentally & verbally abusive, Narcissistic, very manipulative, overbearing and the list goes on. The video circulating was posted in November 2020 after my leg injury, when we had broken up.

All I’m gonna say is anyone who has common sense would be able to see segun live and direct for who he is, from watching the show, irrespective of my video.

He has definitely mastered the art of love bombing and manipulating women. He says things a woman would want to hear. It was almost like I was watching myself through her based on everything he was saying to her.

I’ll tell you this too. EVERYTHING Segun was saying to Bella, is everything he’s also said to me. I don’t know if he has a book where he writes all these things but When he knew the original video has been taken down since 2021 when we got back together… because of course someone from his camp got it circulating again.

Also what does an abusive man look like? Since he said he “fits” the profile with tattoos and piercings.

Segun has gone into the BBN house with no outside communication or phone, suddenly he knew a video about him linked to abuse would surface, how did he know that there could be a video circulating about him?

because it was clear to me he went on there to try change the narrative.

He was clearly given a script to go by hence why his family and friends must have told him not to tell me he was going on there lol (awon werey).

and within an hour this video is EVERYWHERE and I’m being tagged left right centre and my phone is going off non-stop. Not even a day or 2 maybe even 3…But an hour? Come on.
I watched the show when it first started and I was disgusted and I couldn’t rate what I was seeing

I was even getting annoyed for him, thinking can people just let this be and judge him based on the show and not this video, as we all deserve a second chance and we all make mistakes.

I then realised this was all a strategy, because how has he gone in the house

The next day he goes on BBN and in less than an hour of him being in the house, a reaction video to the video I made in 2020 starts circulating all over social media.

I was confused because I didn’t get it at the time. I proceeded to wished him good luck and told him to be himself. People are either going to love or hate you but regardless just be yourself. Those were my last words to him.

I said no way, that could never happen. Too much has happened for one, I was finding peace and no amount of begging can jeopardise that.

This is where it gets interesting. He goes ahead to tell me he’s going on BBN and that his family and friends told him not to tell me.

I stupidly sent him a message as I was in a vulnerable state, because I was still healing and still healing from the situation.

Segun later called me and kept apologising for everything and even tried to impose that we should get back together.

Photos: Obasa, Others Storm Pen Cinema Bridge, Work Commences On Failed Portion

Published

The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. (Dr) Mudashiru Obasa, on Wednesday led top government officials to the failed portion of the Pen Cinema Bridge which had, for days, caused motorists harrowing experiences.

Incessant flooding of the Okekoto end of the bridge had resulted in a gully further exacerbated by poor drainage system in the area.

Obasa who arrived at the failed portion of the bridge with members of the House Committee on Works led by Hon. Abiodun Tobun, expressed concern over the daily experiences faced by commuters on the bridge.

While noting government’s efforts to continue to develop Lagos and meet the yearnings of the residents, he tasked the agencies in charge of drainages and road maintenance to immediately commence work to alleviate the suffering faced by those who ply the bridge.

In a related message to the people of Agege, Obasa said: “Bothered by the latest experiences faced by motorists plying the Pen Cinema bridge, I was at the bad spot today with members of the House Committee on Works, leaders from the area and government officials whose offices are saddled with the tasks of road maintenance and drainage.

“I am happy to note that work has commenced immediately. Machinery has been deployed to the place and the drains are already being cleared.

“I want to implore residents of the affected area and the entire Agege to help maintain all government infrastructure, discourage themselves and others from clogging the drains with wastes.”

Those who joined the Speaker on the inspection tour include Hon. Yinka Ogundimu (Agege II), Hon. Rasheed Makinde (Ifako-ijaiye II), Hon. Mojisola Alli-Macaulay (Amuwo-Odofin I).

Wale Thompson demands N50mln from UBA over alleged copyright infringement

Published

on

Juju music crooner, Wale Thompson of Lalale Friday fame, is set to begin a legal battle with Africa’s global bank, United Bank for Africa, over an alleged infringement on his copyright.

In a letter by the musician’s lawyer, Justin Ige, written to the CEO of the bank, it was alleged that the bank deliberately used his hit song LALALE FRIDAY on the verified social media handle of the bank to promote a #throwback Friday in 2017 without his consent.

According to the legal counsel, the act violates the copyright of Wale Thompson as enshrined in the constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria.

It reads ‘Our client’s copyright is guaranteed under Nigerian copyright act CAp C28 LFN 2004 and unauthorized use of our client’s musical work to support and promote your business and brand amount to infringement on our client’s copyright”

The letter however asked the bank to compensate the artist to the tune of fifty million naira as a restitution for the infringement and failure to do this will lead to litigation.

It was gathered that bank neither responded to the letter nor yanked off the music from its social media page.
