Afrobeats superstar Kizz Daniel recently appeared on Power 1051 FM’s The Breakfast Club where he was interviewed by Charlamet tha god and Angela Yee.

The shocking effect of ‘Buga’s’ success: Kizz Daniel revealed that he recorded Buga before playing it for Tekno who then recorded his verse.

According to Kizz, he never thought the song was going to become an intercontinental hit when he was recording it.

Dreams of an O2 Show: Kizz Daniel nurses a dream of one day selling out the O2 and he made ‘Buga’ as a new single he would like to perform as he goes on his ‘Afroclassic Tour’.

With the global success of ‘Buga’, Kizz Daniel’s ambitions of selling out the 02 appear to be very much within reach.

The role of social media in making Buga a Hit: In the interview, Kizz Daniel revealed that his social media played a significant role in making ‘Buga’ a hit.

The dance step that accompanies the song increased its appeal and made the song a digital success which as culminated in making it the biggest African song of 2022.

Tiwa Savage is the Queen of Afrobeats: When asking Kizz Daniel about his relationship with Tiwa Savage, Charlamet referred to Tiwa as the Queen of Afrobeats.

This description captures Tiwa’s sensational success which has spanned a decade, multiple hits, numerous awards, and millions of fans.

“Afroclassic is not a genre. It’s just my type of Afrobeats. Every song I make is a classic so I like to call my sound Afroclassic.”

Lone Ranger Creative Process meets Honest Managerial Feedback: During the interview, Kizz Daniel revealed that his creative process involves being alone in the studio recording and engineering his songs.

He further shared that his management team often offers feedback that is sometimes scathing, but he has learned to appreciate this feedback.

The Pan-African efforts for Afrobeats’ International Success: Kizz shared that in his show in North Carolina, the majority of the audience were Liberians.

Considering acting: Kizz is known for his sense of humor as he has previously made skits during the interview, Kizz Dani revealed that he might soon venture into acting.

According to Kizz, the decision was inspired by his talent and his desire to take on a job that keeps him closer to his family.

Fan turn staff: Kizz Daniel revealed that he met one of his staff Efya at his show in North Carolina where he brought her on stage and the video later went viral.

Dealing with female fans while being engaged: Kizz is the father of two boys and he shared that becoming a father has changed him. He has a fiancée and he now consciously set a boundary with female fans even while remaining an entertainer.

Blessing CEO, has claimed that most women cheat in their marriages because of irresponsible spouses.

According to her, it is impossible for a woman who caters for her family not to cheat.

Okoro stated this in the latest episode of her TV show, Moments With Blessing CEO.

She urged men to be financially stable and responsible to avoid infidelity on the part of their spouses.

“As a man, you have to get a job. How would you leave responsibilities for a woman for 9years and you’re expecting her not to sleep around?” she remarked.

The topic of infidelity has dominated the Nigerian social media space, following the recent cases of paternity fraud.

The social media influencer had earlier said she walked out of her marriage because of domestic violence and not cheating.

According to her, cheating is not enough reason for divorce.

She said, “I left my marriage because of domestic violence, my husband is not a cheat. Sometimes we women have to accept we are the problem.”

Blessing CEO added, “Cheating shouldn’t make you leave your marriage, the same way you hide a DNA result, keep it a secret if your husband is cheating.”

Actress Eniola Ajao’s epic, Ajakaju crosses N100 million mark in Nigerian box office

Nollywood actress Eniola Ajao’s producer debut epic, “Ajakaju (Beast of Two Worlds),” has surpassed N100 million in ticket sales at the Nigerian box office.

Film distribution company FilmoneNg announced this achievement in a tweet on Thursday afternoon. According to the tweet, the indigenous film, co-produced by Anthill Studios, grossed N101.2 million within five days of its release on March 29, 2024.

Just a few days ago, Niyi Akinmolayan, the founder of Anthill Studios, shared a post revealing that “Ajakaju” had not only become the highest-grossing film for the weekend but also secured the title of the largest Easter opening film ever. This milestone further shows its position as the third-highest opening for a Nollywood film of all time, having earned N63.2 million within 72 hours of release.

This indigenous movie, “Ajakaju,” marks Yoruba actress Eniola Ajao’s debut production venture to hit cinemas nationwide. It has propelled her to become the first-time female producer to achieve the biggest opening for an indigenous film in Nigerian cinema history. The movie opened at cinemas with N16 million on its first 24 hour run.

Movie plot

The film explores the plight of a king facing exile due to his wives’ inability to conceive a male heir. To ensure the continuity of his dynasty, he marries a woman from another realm, leading to unforeseen turmoil and a battle for his legacy.
