Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly joined the race to sign Leicester City defender Wesley Fofana, who is also wanted by Chelsea. Fofana is understood to be a priority target for the Blues, but Leicester have rejected two bids from the Premier League giants for the centre-back.
According to Metro UK, Leicester are reluctant to offload the centre-back, and they have slammed an £85m tag for the defender. While the Foxes are reluctant to sell Fofana, the youngster is said to have made it clear that he would like to seal a move to Stamford Bridge if a fee can be agreed.
PSG ready to rival Chelsea for Wesley Fofana However, Chelsea’s attempts to land Fofana may have been dealt a huge blow after PSG reportedly joined the race to land the promising centre-back.
Le Parisian claims that PSG are looking to freshen up their defence this summer in a move that could see the French giants consider allowing Presnel Kimpembe to join Chelsea. It is understood that PSG’s interest in Fofana grew after learning that Leicester are willing to listen to offers for the defender. Chelsea, meanwhile, are expected to test Leicester’s resolve with a third bid for the Frenchman that should get far closer to the player’s valuation.
