Nigerian singer and DMW label boss Davido couldn’t but agree with the fact that YBNL record label owner Olamide deserves a national award. Olamide has been in the news for the past few days over the successes and accomplishments Fireboy DML and Asake, currently signed to his label, have amassed.
Davido shared a post made by a fan of the two singers identified as @yfalaye, suggesting why they should get national honours. The post claimed only Olamide and Davido have single-handedly created ‘sustained stars’ without any godfather’s help and have made many millionaires.
Davido said whoever becomes Nigeria’s president after Muhammadu Buhari needs to decorate Olamide with a national award. The post read: “Davido and Olamide deserve national honours. Only the two of them have singlehandedly created ‘sustained stars’ without Godfather help and have made many millionaires.”
Asake opens up on how Olamide took his career to the next level Popular singer Asake a.k.a. Mr Money, is the latest music artiste who has made it to fame, thanks to Olamide. Asake has joined the likes of Adekunle Gold, Lil Kesh, Fireboy DML, among others who, through Olamide, made it to fame. The singer, who Olamide signed to his Yahoo Boy No Laptop (YBN) label in February 2022, had nothing but good words to say about his boss.
Fan lists YBNL artists who became landlords under Olamide Nigerian music star Olamide trended on social media for the past few days owing to the achievements of some artists signed to his YBNL label. Fireboy DML and Asake, two leading Nigerian singers, trended on social media over a video of their collaboration, Bandana, which is doing well.

Popular Nigerian actress Bisola Aiyeola has disclosed that she stopped taking some acting roles when she became a mother.

The Reality TV star, who is a single mother of one said she is always conscious of the acting roles she accepts in the movie industry because of her child.

“I have a growing child and sometimes some of the roles you take can affect her positively or negatively. Especially because she is growing… You have other children around her who have different thoughts on what their parents do and so I have to be careful with some stories because I have to think that, in the long run, would it be a good look for my child?” The actress asked.

The actress said her trajectory has been one of patience and putting her daughter first, no matter what.

She said, unknown to many, that she has been in the industry for years, even before going on the Big Brother Naija reality show in 2017.

She noted that her passion has been her driving force.

As the world welcomes the new year 2024, Abdul-Razak Failatu has started her attempt to set a Guinness World Record (GWR) of the longest cooking marathon.

This is coming days after Afua Asantewaa Owusu Aduonum’s sing-a-thon world record attempt officially ended after six days.

Failatu Abdul-Razak started her attempt on the eve on the New Year – 2024 in Tamale in the Northern Region of Ghana.

She is attempting to break the current Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon.

She is aiming to clock for 120-hours.

She is working from the Modern City Hotel in Tamale.

I no longer watch football – says DJ Cuppy amid Man United struggles

Popular Nigerian disc jockey and Manchester United fan, DJ Cuppy, has revealed that she doesn’t watch football matches any longer.

Cuppy, who is well-known to be a supporter of the red side of Manchester, disclosed this on her X page recently.

She wrote, “FYI [for your information]—I no longer watch football,” attaching a sad emoji at the end.

The tweet has since garnered viral reactions with many alluding that Cuppy‘s decision to stop watching football is not unconnected from United’s current dip in form.
