A budding singer, Oluwadamilare Dairo, aka Damo K, is of the opinion that African entertainers should love one another more.

Speaking on the changes he would like to see in the music industry, he told Saturday Beats, “I would like to see everyone love themselves because it is one Africa. We are all representing Africa, so we ought to show love and be loved genuinely by other music creatives.

“Also, there should be less comparison between artistes, because it breeds unnecessary hate and awkwardness.”

Speaking on the inspiration behind his latest single titled, ‘Cast’, he said, “Cast’ was partly influenced by my desire to create music that sounds like Fuji in a way that’s relatable to me. I wanted to be more expressive, instead of doing what listeners are used to when it comes to afrobeats.”
On what fans should expect from his forthcoming Extended Play album titled, ‘Kilalala’, he said, “In the course of making the album, there were many questions I needed answers to but I was not getting any. I had to remind myself that I could make good music.”

Asked to describe his sound, he said, “This is a difficult one for me but I must say my sound is unique. However, I basically do afrobeats and draw inspiration from artistes such as Wizkid, Omah Lay and Olamide.

“I don’t compare my sound to that of anyone else. I am original and that is why my fans love and admire my voice.”

Recall that a few months ago Dr. Dean opened up on how broken he was since their marital crisis started.

Via his Instagram page, he lamented that Korra Obido doesn’t care about their marriage and that he had to leave the marriage for his mental health.

Posting a photo of himself on Instagram, Dr. Dean wrote, “I’m heartbroken! Anyone that knows me or watches me online knows that I’m a dedicated family man to both Korra and my children.
This is honestly the hardest decision of my life, but necessary. I’m walking away from this marriage for my mental health and to be the best version of myself. I must set a healthy example for my children. This has nothing do with postpartum depression. I’ve been betrayed once again and she is unbothered, which pretty much summarizes our marriage.

My apology to the all the young men and women that believed we had a “perfect marriage”. Marriage is based on mutual love, respect, humility, accountability, empathy, apologies and most of all effective communication to understand the other person’s perspectives. Likes and views shouldn’t be the highlight of your relationship. Men: Your mental health matters! In order to be strong, you have to be happy.”

Nigerian vocalist and the Queen of Afrobeats, Niniola, has secured a collaboration with American musician and mogul, Did.

A story of divine providence and destiny, the two had connected over a video call with an excited Diddy telling Niniola how he wanted them to approach the collaboration saying; “I want you to do it all and send it to me one time when you feel like I’ve given this song my all cause it’s our song. This is what you manifested a long time ago”

Then Diddy had shared how he got the collaboration with Niniola. He said; “I was looking for somebody to be on the Afrobeats remix and Spinalk told me about her. I go to message her then I see that you sent me a message… 2018 saying I want to work with you one day but I’m calling her saying I want to work with her.”

So far, there are no details on what particular Diddy song Niniola is set to submit a verse on but the media mogul had in June this year, put out a 16-track project– Bad Boy Celebrates Diddy: The Artist, featuring diverse talents from Keyshia Cole, R Kelly, Mario Winans, the late Notorious B.I.G and other famous acts. In addition to this, Diddy had put out a single, Go On with Bryson Tiller. As a result, the collaboration which Diddy mentioned was an Afrobeats remix, could be any of these songs.
