CCC Worldwide: Spiritual instructions to members for Sundays Sept. 4, Oct. 2

“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the spirit sayeth unto the churches.” Rev: 2:29.

As directed by the Holy Spirit, His Eminence, Reverend Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa, Pastor and Supreme Head of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, hereby instructs that on Sunday, 4th September, 2022, & Sunday 2nd October, 2022, all members of the C.C.C. Worldwide are to humble themselves before the Lord in worship. The Bible says, _”If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and_ _seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal_ _their land.”_ *2nd Chronicles 7:14.*

In a release shared with Freelanews by the head of media, CCC Worldwide, Superior Evangelist Kayode Ajala, on the specified worship days, Celestial Church of Christ members all over the world are to obey the following directives as they appear before the Lord in worship.

  • All male members, irrespective of age, position or rank, are to be adorned in their “Brother” sutana without loins.
  • All female members, irrespective of age, position or rank, are to be adorned in their “Sister” sutana without loins.
  • No one must enter into or seat in the altar to worship on the specified days.
  • The sidesman to light the seven candles at the beginning of the Sunday Service must enter into the altar in his “Brother” sutana and loins and must exit the altar immediately after lighting the candles and take off his loins.
  • The Shepherd in Charge of each parish must act as Service Conductor for the worship and must stand at the entrance to the altar to conduct the day’s service, and not inside the altar.
  • The seven female elders must vacate their seats and worship amidst the parish congregation.
Pray! Pray!! Pray!

The Celestial Church of Christ is the last boat of salvation. The church has a divine mandate to cleanse the world. Come before the Lord with a repentant and contrite heart and in total humility! The Holy Spirit has instructed us to pray fervently as follows on the specified days:

  • Ask for the forgiveness of your sins.
  • Ask the Lord to forgive the sins of the country, Nigeria, and look upon our nation with mercy.
  • Pray for the leaders of Nigeria.
  • Pray that there should be no war in Nigeria. Pray against bloodshed, banditry, kidnappings, violence and insecurity in Nigeria.
  • Pray that Nigeria should not disintegrate.
  • Pray for peace in the Celestial Church of Christ.
  • Pray for the unity and oneness of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide.
  • Pray for the leadership of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide.
  • All Shepherds in Charge, Circuit Heads, Superintendents of Province, State Evangelists must ensure full compliance.

“This is a spiritual directive from the Holy Spirit to the Celestial Church of Christ. Do not deviate, do not violate. Obedience is better than sacrifice.

“May the Lord hearken to our prayers in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen,” Revr’d Oshoffa declared.

Emir of Ilorin sent us to order you to disband -Muslim group storms Kwara Chrislam centre

Members of an unidentified Muslim group recently stormed a worship centre that plays host to both Christian and Islamic services in the Alalubosa area of Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

The group members who said they were acting on the instruction of the Emir Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, revealed that the worship centre was originally a mosque but has been housing worshippers outside the religion.

They were led by a man referred to as “Olojatuntun” who declared that such practice was an anomaly that would not be tolerated.

“We are here because of the report that the mosque in Alubosa, Ilorin where Christians, Muslims, and even traditionalists worship. We observe this practice which should not happen in this town,” the man declared in a video that surfaced on Facebook and sighted by our correspondent on Thursday.

In the video, worshippers at the centre including four men, some women, and children were seen listening as the leader of the delegation voiced his displeasure.

Olojatuntun added that henceforth, such practice will not be tolerated as it contravenes the rules laid down by the forefathers of Ilorin.

“We are not here to fight but what we want in the name of the Emir is that the practice must not happen again. It is not an advice; if they must hold Christian service there, they can, but not mix things up.

“We won’t allow anyone to destroy this town; to gather people and ask them to be practicing both religions. So tell them (the owners of the mosque) that we must not come back. Though they could claim they own the land, this is the town of the Emir,” he stated.

Another video was cited by our correspondent, where members of the group met with the owner of the worship centre referred to as Iya Meta Lokan. The meeting was seemingly called to sort out concerns raised by the group.

The middle-aged woman, dressed in a white gown and covered in a white scarf, said she is a devoted Muslim but started her ministry “using the ways of Christians.”

“When I was called by God, I was told to teach following the Christian way,” she revealed.

She continued,” I was told to preach to both Muslims and Christians. I have been on the mountain; when Muslims come, we pray likewise for Christians.”

She added that focusing only on Islam will be difficult as that will be against her “spiritual call.”

Recall that a Lagos-based lawyer and human rights activist, Malcolm Omirhobo, in 2023 sued the Emir of Ilorin for allegedly stopping traditional religious worshippers from holding their Isese festival in Ilorin, Kwara State.

In the suit filed before the Kwara State High Court, Omirhobo, who described himself as an Olokun worshipper, asked the court to declare that the alleged action of the Emir was an affront to the constitutional rights to “freedom of dignity of the human person, freedom of thought, conscience, and religion, freedom of expression, freedom of peaceful assembly.”

In July of that year, Theheute reported that a Muslim group, Majlisu Shabab li Ulamahu Society, went to the house of a traditional religion priestess to warn her against going ahead with her planned Isese festival in Ilorin.

The priestess, Yeye Ajesikemi Olokun Omolara Olatunji, an Osun devotee, had earlier reportedly released fliers announcing a three-day traditional event aimed at celebrating certain Yoruba deities.

Ramadan begins today, Sultan seeks prayers against insecurity, hardship

The Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar, has declared today (Monday) March 11, 2024, as the first day of the month of Ramadan.

The Sultan, who is the spiritual leader of Muslims in Nigeria, said the declaration was based on the sighting of the moon in almost every part of the country earlier on Sunday, “which is the 29th day of the Month of Shaban and thereby signifies tomorrow, 11th of March, as the first day of Ramadan 1445.”

“We got the information from Muslim leaders across the country and we accept the sighting of the moon accordingly,” the Sultan said.

He called on the entire Muslim community in the country to start fast today in accordance with the teachings of Islam

He urged Muslims to use this month of Ramadan to pray against the spread of insecurity in the country.

He called on all Muslims to use the month of Ramadan to pray for the leaders in discharging their duties with fear of God.

He further advised all Muslims in the country and beyond to observe the fast with ultimate fear of God, while urging the wealthy to assist the underprivileged with food during the Holy month.

Meanwhile, Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, on Sunday, congratulated the Muslim Ummah in the state and across the world on the commencement of the month of Ramadan 1445.

The governor, who described the holy month as a blessed month in which Allah rewards the worship of the Muslim Ummah, charged Muslims to increase their prayers for the country and the state.

Makinde, in a statement by Special Adviser on Media, Suleiman Olanrewaju, in Ibadan, called for increased prayers for the country amid the economic hardship facing the people, noting that though leaders have been doing everything to turn the situation around, prayers were of greater essence at this time.

“My administration has been doing everything possible to mitigate the effects of the economic hardship and it will not relent until life becomes better for all residents of the state.

“I felicitate my Muslim brothers and sisters on the occasion of the commencement of the month of Ramadan 1445. This is another opportunity offered to us by Allah to serve Him and seek His face and I will encourage all and sundry to make good use of the opportunity as always.

“I charge the Muslim Ummah to, as they have always done, pray for our dear state and Nigeria, as we have all come to realize that prayer remains the greatest key for believers to make things happen.

“We do know that our country is in a bit of economic hardship, but while we continue to look up to the leaders to do the needful, we must also support our hopes with prayers to God,” Makinde said.

Also, a former governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State, Dotun Babayemi, has urged the Muslim faithful to use the Ramadan month to pray for the country.

Babayemi made the call in a statement issued by his media office obtained in Osogbo on Sunday, calling on Nigerians to have a positive attitude about the country.

“It’s our collective responsibility to see that Nigeria succeeds.

“This we can achieve by being relentless in our tangible efforts and through constant supplications to God, especially as offered by the opportunities inherent in the fasting period,” he said.
