‘I’ll be 21 in a few days’ – Cater Efe announces

Nigerian skit maker Carter Efe turned singer has revealed his real age via his Twitter platform.

According to the Machala crooner, he would be 21 come September 29, 2022.

“I’ll be 21 years old September 29. Jah bless,” he wrote.

This has stirred some reactions from his followers, as many of them doubt the authenticity of this information.

Recall that a few weeks ago, Carter Efe

made history when his Wizkid tribute song ‘Machala’ with Berri Tiga debuted on the US Billboard Afrobeats Charts.

Efe, who began his comic career in 2018, is also the first Nigerian skit maker to achieve this feat.

Reacting to the achievement, he posted on his Twitter page a screenshot of the Billboard Chart.

The song, released on 29 July, was originally an ode to the music superstar, Wizkid Ayo Balogun.

The track debuted at the 14th position of 50 on the afrobeat charts, alongside songs by (Burna boy, Tems, Davido, Rema, Master KG and his idol Wizkid).

The featured artist Berri Tiga and Producer X also shared the joy of this achievement as they have taken to their social media pages to jubilate and engage with their fans.

Billboard, in partnership with a music festival and global Afrobeats brand Afro Nation, launched the first-ever United States chart for Afrobeats music in March.

The Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart ranks the 50 most popular Afrobeats songs in the U.S. based on indexes like official streams and download sales from top music retailers.

The word Machala is Nigerian slang for ‘Supreme King’. This title has been bestowed on the Nigerian musician Wizkid by his ferocious Fan base Wizkid FC

The Warri-born skit maker uses the word Machala as a catchphrase in his skit, further depicting that he wants to be.

The Convention Centre of Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, is bound to be filled to capacity on Friday as celebrities, politicians, business moguls and creme-de-la-creme of the society gather for this year’s edition of the annual Vanguard Personality of the Year Award.

The two movie stars will set the tone for the night by dishing out rib-cracking jokes and moderating the day’s proceedings. It will have in attendance the cream of the society, including Nollywood stars as they storm the event to support one of their own, Pete Edochie, who will be receiving a Lifetime Achievement award on the night.

Among them that have confirmed their attendance include,National President of Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, Paul Obazele, Shirley Igwe, Fidelis Duker, Cossy Ojiakor, Angela Eguavoen, Nosa Rex. Others are top actress Etinosa Idemudia, Uche Elendu, Seyi Hunters, Bose Alao, Amaka Obi, Joke Lawal , Peju Johnson among others.

Meanwhile, on the lineup to thrill guests tonight include, reggae-dancehall singer, Patoranking, Laolu Gbenjo, multi-talented singer, ,Eltee Skhillz and MC Remote.

Laolu Gbenjo and his Band will take the guests down memory lane, dishing out evergreen songs and bringing to the table live band experience like never before.

Eltee Skhillz, who’s the son of veteran actor, Jide Kosoko and his late wife, Henrietta will be making his first appearance at the awards show. He came to limelight last year, after he released his breakaway song ‘ODG (Odogwu Na The Spender)’ off his debut EP titled ‘Body Of Work.’The song emerged as the most Shazamed song in Nigeria at the time of release and trended on social media platforms.

Vanessa Onyinye, the step daughter of actress, Iyabo Ojo has penned a self note as she marks her 26th birthday today, January 25th, 2023.

The daughter of talent manager, Paul Okoye stuck to her usual birthday rituals by being grateful. Every year, Onyinye always pens a gratifying message to her family, friends, business associate and all.

Wumi Toriola declares marriage  over

Nollywood actress, Wumi Toriola, has finally reacted to rumours concerning her marriage, confirming that she has separated from her husband.

She also addressed allegations that she was violent during her marriage, stating that such allegations were false.

There had been rumours on social media concerning the actress’ marriage after she participated in a viral TikTok challenge where she claimed that she was single.

A famous blogger, Gistlover, had also hinted at the marriage crash, coupled with allegations that the actress’ display of violence led to the end of the union.

Clearing the air on the rumours, the Battle on Buka Street actress wrote on her Instagram page on Tuesday, “There has been a lot of media attention on me lately regarding my marriage. Yes, it is true the marriage is over. We have gone out separate ways for over a year now. It didn’t work out, there was no need for drama hence my reason for not letting my fans know.
