Fans express displeasure at Wizkid’s first single after 2years

Award winning singer Ayodeji Balogun better known as Wizkid has gotten the internet talking with his newest project.

Wizkid had teased a new song which had got many celebrities gushing and expectant.

The “Made In Lagos” singer took to his Instagram story to announce the good news to his fans and family.

According to Wizkid, he has something for us.

“Got something for you”.

Finally the much awaited song is here!!! After months of teasing his new single, Wizkid dropped it and it has gotten the internet talking.

The Grammy singer no doubt broke the internet when he dropped his first single in 2 years, “Bad to Me”.

The new song has been met with mixed reviews. While many rated the song ‘a hit song’, others tagged the song ‘wack’.

Majority expressed their disappointment at the song.

Twitter influencer Daniel Regha wrote, “Wizkid’s new song “Bad to Me” is not that impressive aside from emulating Davido’s singing style in the last post chorus, the song’s instrumental is similar to that of Costa Titch’s “Big Flexa” & there’s nothing new in his lyrics. He’s top rated but he’s not evolving. No shades”

D’banj, Patoranking set to thrill as Vanguard Personality of the Year Award holds Today

The Convention Centre of Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, is bound to be filled to capacity on Friday as celebrities, politicians, business moguls and creme-de-la-creme of the society gather for this year’s edition of the annual Vanguard Personality of the Year Award.

The awards ceremony, which honours distinguished Nigerians who have excelled in their chosen careers will be hosted by beautiful actress and TV presenter, Zainab Balogun alongside her male colleague, Deyemi Okanlawon, who’s best known for his role in Funke Akindele’s blockbuster movie, “Omo Ghetto:The Saga.”

The two movie stars will set the tone for the night by dishing out rib-cracking jokes and moderating the day’s proceedings. It will have in attendance the cream of the society, including Nollywood stars as they storm the event to support one of their own, Pete Edochie, who will be receiving a Lifetime Achievement award on the night.

Among them that have confirmed their attendance include,National President of Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, Paul Obazele, Shirley Igwe, Fidelis Duker, Cossy Ojiakor, Angela Eguavoen, Nosa Rex. Others are top actress Etinosa Idemudia, Uche Elendu, Seyi Hunters, Bose Alao, Amaka Obi, Joke Lawal , Peju Johnson among others.

Meanwhile, on the lineup to thrill guests tonight include, reggae-dancehall singer, Patoranking, Laolu Gbenjo, multi-talented singer, ,Eltee Skhillz and MC Remote.

Laolu Gbenjo and his Band will take the guests down memory lane, dishing out evergreen songs and bringing to the table live band experience like never before.

Eltee Skhillz, who’s the son of veteran actor, Jide Kosoko and his late wife, Henrietta will be making his first appearance at the awards show. He came to limelight last year, after he released his breakaway song ‘ODG (Odogwu Na The Spender)’ off his debut EP titled ‘Body Of Work.’The song emerged as the most Shazamed song in Nigeria at the time of release and trended on social media platforms.

The daughter of talent manager, Paul Okoye stuck to her usual birthday rituals by being grateful. Every year, Onyinye always pens a gratifying message to her family, friends, business associate and all.

Making this year’s own different, Onyinye penned a self note to appreciate herself. Onyinye highlighted several reasons why she is grateful to herself some of which includes, learning how to survive, listening to her father, among many others.

Wumi Toriola declares marriage  over

Nollywood actress, Wumi Toriola, has finally reacted to rumours concerning her marriage, confirming that she has separated from her husband.

She also addressed allegations that she was violent during her marriage, stating that such allegations were false.

There had been rumours on social media concerning the actress’ marriage after she participated in a viral TikTok challenge where she claimed that she was single.

A famous blogger, Gistlover, had also hinted at the marriage crash, coupled with allegations that the actress’ display of violence led to the end of the union.

Clearing the air on the rumours, the Battle on Buka Street actress wrote on her Instagram page on Tuesday, “There has been a lot of media attention on me lately regarding my marriage. Yes, it is true the marriage is over. We have gone out separate ways for over a year now. It didn’t work out, there was no need for drama hence my reason for not letting my fans know.
