Presidential villa reacts to alleged claims of Osinbajo’s daughter’s trouble with UK Police

Contrary to reports that Kiki Osinbajo, daughter of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, was arrested in London, an authoritative source in the Presidential Villa has stated otherwise.

The presidential villa source confirmed to NAN that Kiki Osinbajo flew into Abuja with her father on Tuesday when the vice president was returning from the UN World Tourism Organisation’s Global Tourism Conference in Lagos.

The source said Kiki Osinbajo was in Abuja when a viral report alleged that she was arrested in London.

TheHeute recalls that a Liberian tiktok user had in a one-minute, 22-second-long video claimed that Kiki Osinbajo was on Wednesday arrested by authorities in the UK in possession of huge sums of money.

The TikTok user has also now posted another video recanting the earlier post on the vice president’s daughter.

The 59-second long video has over 400 views in less than two hours of its release.

The Liberian said, “I want to apologize to Kiki Osinbajo because she never got arrested. The story is not true and my source deceived me and took someone else as Kiki.

“I want to make a disclaimer on the video I posted earlier, I am so sorry, my followers and Kiki Osinbajo, she never got arrested. Kiki Osinbajo never got arrested, my inside source took somebody else for Kiki Osinbajo.”

Lagos street slang is loved worldwide, says Osinbajo

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has said the world is in love with street slangs that emanate from Lagos because of Nigerian mainstream musicians.

Speaking at the United Nations World Tourism Organisation event in Lagos on Wednesday, Osinbajo hailed singers like Kizz Daniel, Burna Boy and Asake for making Nigeria proud with their overseas exploit.

He also commended UNWTO for the way it handled tourism despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

He said, “Before the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, 1 out of 10 jobs worldwide depended on tourism. The aggregate of international tourist arrivals reached 1.5 billion people as of early 2020.

“Tourism is possibly the most profound unifier, the greatest eye-opener and helps visitors understand other people and respect their cultures, their creativity and wisdom.
“When you hear the proverbs of the Kikiyus of Kenya or the Fulahs of Guinea, you quickly recognise the richness of their ancestry and the nobility of their thoughts and ideas.
