Kizz Daniel shuts down Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup with thrilling performance

Music star, Kizz Daniel’s thrilling performance on Wednesday night at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, is not something his fans will forget in a hurry.

28-year-old Kizz Daniel, who finally performed at the World Cup on Wednesday after speculations, thrilled the audience with his hit songs ‘Buga’ and ‘Cough’, making the crowd hungry for more.

Kizz Daniel kicked off his performance with a freestyle of some of his old records before moving on to the main songs lined up for the event.

The singer then proceeded with his latest hit ‘Cough’ after which he went on to perform ‘Buga’ which got the crowd screaming as they joined him for the signature Buga pose.

Kizz Daniel also posted clips of his performance at the event on his Instagram page on Wednesday where he expressed gratitude to his fans all over the world.

He wrote: “AS A NAIJA BOY SAY THANK YOU AFRICA THANK YOU WORLD.”

Before he was announced as one of the headliners for the event, Kizz Daniel born Daniel Anidugbe had expressed his desire to perform his hit song ‘Buga’ at the World Cup.

Kizz Daniel said this in a tweet on June 23 after the release of the music video which became an instant hit.

He wrote: “God I want to perform BUGA for World Cup with a mass choir help me say amen #qatar2022worldcup.”

Other artistes slated to perform at Al Bayt Stadium include American DJ Thomas Wesley better known as Diplo who would be performing today, November 22, Canadian actress, dancer and singer Nora Fatehi who is set to perform on November 29 after Kizz Daniel, American singer and songwriter Trinidad Cardona who would be performing on December 1 and award-winning DJ Calvin Harris set to perform on December 10.

Nollywood actress/producer, Funke Akindele, says she doesn’t consider herself a failure because she has been divorced twice.

Funke explained that her mother taught her early in life that without failure, there can’t be success.

“If you ask me now, ‘Can you tell me one failure?’ I don’t see it as a failure. My personal life – marriage, I just take it as it comes. My mental health is very important. My career is very important, darling.

“I have to make an impact. I have to empower a lot of people. I have to inspire young people out there. I have to stay strong for my children and my siblings. Why am I living? I have a purpose, so my head is up. Yes, I cry. Yes, I break down, but after I cry, I just look in the mirror and say, ‘Keep moving’,” she said.

In separate messages, the Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke and former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, have celebrated the birthday of Afrobeat star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido.

Adeleke, sharing his birthday wishes on his official X account, wrote, “Happy birthday #Davido! I vividly remember when you shared your musical aspirations with me years ago, playing me your EP.

“I encouraged you to aim high, and now, as a MULTIPLE Grammy Award nominee, philanthropist, and all-around great guy, I’m incredibly proud of the man you’ve become.”
