Lere Olayinka says Omoyele Sowore lives a “life of scams,” dismissing claims of assassination plots by Tinubu and Wike

Olayinka was reacting to Sowore’s recent allegation that President Bola Tinubu and Wike were plotting to assassinate him. He dismissed the claims as baseless, insisting they were tactics to sustain his alleged fraudulent lifestyle.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Olayinka said: “If there is any threat to the life of Sowore, it must be from those he had scammed or blackmailed.

He should leave President Tinubu and the FCT Minister out of the impending repercussions of his life of scams.”

The aide further accused Sowore of corruption, alleging that he sold the African Action Congress (AAC) governorship ticket in Rivers State for \$3 million and misappropriated an EndSARS grant.

He also claimed Sowore has a history of using his media platform, SaharaReporters, to blackmail and extort, while keeping his staff in poverty.

Olayinka challenged Sowore to face his ongoing criminal trial and provide concrete evidence of President Tinubu’s alleged conviction, rather than making what he described as “desperate noise.”

On Sowore’s claims that Wike purchased properties in the United States, Olayinka maintained that such issues were irrelevant:

He concluded by describing Sowore’s recent outbursts as “the last kick of a dying horse,” suggesting that the activist’s troubles were more about his past dealings than any plot from the presidency or the FCT minister.
