JMG Limited leads World Clean-Up Day in Lagos with a community-wide effort to tackle environmental waste and promote sustainability in Gbagada.

On 20 September 2025, marking this year’s theme of ‘Textile and Fashion Waste,’ JMG Limited, a top Nigerian electromechanical solutions provider, mobilised its staff and local residents to clear plastics and solid waste from the community housing its largest workforce.

Executives and employees swapped their office attire for gloves and waste bags, demonstrating a shared commitment to environmental responsibility.

Beyond cleaning, the campaign encouraged proper waste separation, recycling, and collective stewardship of the local environment.

Group General Manager Rabi Jammal emphasised JMG’s dedication to environmental sustainability.

“Participating in this clean-up underscores our core value of safeguarding the environment. Our efforts align with the spirit of World Clean-Up Day and reinforce our commitment to preserving our community’s health,” he said.

The company has integrated sustainability into its ISO certification and adopted clean energy solutions, including installing solar power at its headquarters to reduce harmful carbon emissions.

Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment Manager Benedict Odamah highlighted the initiative’s impact on staff and residents alike.

“This scheme inspires our personnel to actively engage in environmental conservation and raises awareness about proper waste disposal and recycling within our host community,” he noted.
