Officials of LASISMA, acting on direct instructions from the Honourable Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Dr Olumide Oluyinka, marked structures in violation of the Lagos State Urban and Regional Planning and Development Law 2019 (as amended).

TPL Emmanuel Seyi Ogunyemi led the operation on behalf of General Manager TPL Daisi Oso.

The exercise involved issuing contravention notices to occupants and marking buildings dangerously close to high-tension lines.

LASISMA stressed that the initiative is aimed at preventing avoidable accidents, safeguarding lives, and reducing environmental hazards.

TPL Ogunyemi warned that ignoring safety regulations could have serious consequences for residents and the wider community.

“Structures built under or too close to high-tension lines pose serious safety risks,” he said, emphasising proactive monitoring and enforcement.
