West Ham manager Nuno Espírito Santo praises Alex Iwobi’s skill and goal against Tottenham ahead of the London derby against Fulham

West Ham United manager Nuno Espírito Santo has praised Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi ahead of their Premier League London derby clash.

Speaking ahead of the fixture, Espírito Santo highlighted Iwobi’s recent performance against Tottenham Hotspur, where the Nigerian scored in consecutive league matches for the first time this season.

Iwobi doubled Fulham’s lead in the 37th minute against Spurs, curling a powerful strike from outside the box into the net, following an opener from Harry Wilson. His goal helped Marco Silva’s side secure all three points.

“Alex Iwobi, the goal that he scored… they have so many talented players,” Espírito Santo told West Ham’s official website.

The Portuguese coach also acknowledged Fulham as a consistently strong side, praising their cohesion under Silva.

“They are a very good team. They’ve been showing it year after year. Marco Silva is doing an amazing job. He’s been there for a long time, and you can tell from the way things work and how they stick together that they’re a strong team,” he added.
