Alex Iwobi, midfielder for Fulham FC, has earned an Alex Iwobi Fulham Goal of the Month nomination after his decisive strike in the club’s February fixtures, the London side confirmed on Friday.

The nomination follows Iwobi’s composed finish in Fulham’s 3–1 victory over Sunderland AFC at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland, England, during a strong Premier League outing.

The Nigerian international calmly guided the ball into the net after receiving a well-timed pass from teammate Harry Wilson, completing a fluid attacking move that sealed the advantage for the visitors.

Club officials later confirmed that the goal has been shortlisted for the monthly award alongside strikes from several teammates and academy prospects.

Iwobi will compete for the accolade with fellow Fulham players including Raúl Jiménez, Kevin, Jonah Kusi-Asare, Harrison Reed, Anna Grey and Macauley Zepa.

The recognition highlights a remarkable moment in Iwobi’s season as the versatile midfielder continues to influence Fulham’s attacking play.

Iwobi previously won the club’s Goal of the Month award in February 2024, underlining his growing impact at Craven Cottage.
