The announcement was made by the UEFA Technical Observer Group after Aston Villa secured a commanding 3-0 victory over Freiburg in the final held in Turkey.

Rogers’ consistent performances throughout the tournament were instrumental in Aston Villa’s successful campaign, earning him the prestigious individual honour in a highly competitive season.

Morgan Rogers wins Europa League player of the season award caps a standout year for the English forward, who played a key role in Villa’s European triumph.

Alongside Rogers, Freiburg’s Johan Manzambi was recognised as the Europa League Revelation of the Season for his impressive displays during the competition.

Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Buendía also received recognition after being named Hankook Player of the Match in the final, contributing a goal and an assist in the decisive fixture.

Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest striker Igor Jesus and Ludogorets forward Petar Stanić were jointly awarded top scorer honours after finishing the tournament with seven goals each.
