The final saw Arsenal take the lead through Kai Havertz before Paris Saint-Germain equalised in the second half after Ousmane Dembélé converted from the penalty spot, following a foul by Cristhian Mosquera. “We witnessed clearances, a team that consistently attempted to waste time. It was utterly unbearable,” Dugarry said, expressing strong disapproval of Arsenal’s game management.

The former France international went further in his remarks, questioning the club’s identity and traditional playing philosophy, while suggesting that their approach did not reflect the attacking heritage long associated with the Gunners.

He also criticised Mikel Arteta’s pre-match confidence, arguing that Arsenal’s performance contradicted their public ambitions of European success.

Despite the harsh comments, Arsenal’s campaign still marked a significant season for the club, having ended a 22-year Premier League title drought and reaching the Champions League final for only the second time in their history.
