Zambia’s Barbra Banda leads the WAFCON 2026 scoring chart with five goals, followed by Chawinga, Konan and other tournament stars

Zambia striker Barbra Banda has emerged as the leading goal scorer at the ongoing 2026 CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) after the completion of the group stage.

The 26-year-old forward tops the scoring chart with five goals after finding the net in Zambia’s 2-1 victory over Malawi on Wednesday.

Banda currently leads the race for the Golden Boot, sitting two goals ahead of Malawi’s Temwa Chawinga and Ivory Coast’s Inès Konan, who both have three goals each.

Despite her impressive individual performance, Banda’s Zambia side will not feature in the quarter-finals after finishing third in Group C behind Nigeria and Malawi.
