Meeting in Akure, the group, under the banner Ondo APC Aborigines, declared their intention to mobilise no fewer than 400,000 additional votes across the state’s 18 local government areas.

Speaking at the event, Convener Amb. Sola Iji emphasised that their loyalty to the party and to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains “uncompromising and unwavering.”

“Our commitment cannot be compromised. This gathering is a call to rededicate ourselves to the cause of Asiwaju Tinubu. We are not here to rival the party but to complement it,” Iji stated.

Ondo APC Aborigines support Tinubu not only in principle but through practical grassroots mobilisation.

The group plans to deploy five canvassers per polling unit to engage directly with voters, deliberately avoiding reliance on social media campaigns.

“Our strategy is grassroots-focused. We believe in the power of door-to-door mobilisation to energise our communities,” Iji said.

He hailed Ondo State as the progressive capital of Nigerian politics, citing the state’s record-high support for APC in previous elections — with a 67% vote share in the last presidential polls.

“We delivered the highest percentage for APC last time. This time, we’re aiming for even more,” he added.

Iji also acknowledged Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for fostering a welcoming political environment, and praised Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for his steadfast encouragement of the group’s mission.
