Rotimi Pedro NTA Appointment by President Tinubu brings fresh hope to Nigeria’s broadcasting with over 20 years of media expertise

Rotimi Pedro NTA Appointment was officially announced by President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday, marking a significant shift in Nigeria’s broadcasting landscape.

Pedro, a Lagos-born media executive, brings over 20 years of experience in broadcasting, sports rights, and media consulting.

He previously held leadership roles at Bloomberg Television Africa, positioning him as a seasoned professional to steer the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).

In the same announcement, Tinubu also approved fresh appointments across key NTA departments.

Karimah Bello from Katsina was named Executive Director of Marketing, Stella Din from Plateau State was appointed Executive Director of News, and Sophia Mohammed from Adamawa took on the role of Managing Director of NTA Enterprises Limited.

The presidency emphasized that the appointments take immediate effect. According to the statement, Tinubu’s decision reflects his commitment to strengthening national broadcasting as a platform for unity, cohesion, and soft diplomacy.

With Pedro’s new role, media analysts are optimistic about a new era of transformation at NTA, one that could enhance credibility, professionalism, and Nigeria’s global soft power.
