1. Hawked sachet water in Lagos traffic
As a young boy, Osimhen balanced trays of “pure water” on his head, weaving through congested traffic under blazing heat to sell and contribute to his family’s livelihood.

2. Sold newspapers
Alongside his brother, he dashed between drivers, dodging chaos just to make small earnings from newspaper sales.

3. Fetched water for neighbours
When hawking and newspapers weren’t enough, he carried water for neighbours, charging minimal fees, yet learning early lessons in hard work.

4. Washed gutters and cleared algae
Even the dirtiest jobs were not beneath him; he cleaned gutters and removed algae, however unpleasant, for a few naira.

5. Cut grass, swept compounds and ran errands
He took on any odd job—sweeping, yard work, errands—no matter how small, to support his education and family.

6. Worked in a computer shop
This brief job, though far from glamorous, instilled discipline and helped him understand responsibility and service.

7. Scavenged dumpsites for football gear
Lacking funds for boots or jerseys, he and friends scoured the Olusosun dumpsite, retrieving discarded gear from different brands, making do with what they found.

Osimhen’s talents were rewarded in his professional career. His honours include:

• 2022‑23 Serie A title with Napoli
•  A domestic double in Turkey (Super Lig & Turkish Cup 2024‑25) with Galatasaray
•  Named CAF Player of the Year 2023

After leaving Napoli in 2025, Osimhen joined Galatasaray, where he continues to excel, scoring goals and pushing his club to new heights.
