Pastor Isaac Oyedepo Abuja services begin with a focus on discipleship, as the ministry announces Sunday worship without offerings

Pastor Isaac Oyedepo, founder of Isaac Oyedepo Evangelistic Ministries, has announced the commencement of Sunday services in Abuja without the collection of offerings.

The announcement was made in an online message posted on Sunday, January 11, 2026, and monitored by Church Times on Tuesday.

In the video, Pastor Isaac Oyedepo said the decision followed what he described as clear divine instruction guiding the assignment of his ministry.

He explained that the ministry’s primary focus is discipleship and equipping believers to follow Jesus Christ, rather than emphasising financial practices during worship services.

Addressing the issue of offerings, Pastor Isaac Oyedepo stated that God specifically instructed him not to collect offerings in the course of the ministry’s work.

He clarified that he does not consider the practice wrong in other Christian ministries but stressed that, for this specific assignment, the focus must remain solely on spiritual development.

The announcement coincided with the launch of the ministry’s weekly Sunday services, which are scheduled to hold regularly in Abuja.

During the broadcast, Pastor Isaac Oyedepo said his approach mirrors the early ministry of Jesus Christ.

He noted that Jesus devoted His early ministry to making disciples and grounding followers deeply in the Word before commissioning them.

The preacher emphasised that spiritual growth requires consistency, questioning how spiritually healthy churches would be if members were deeply rooted in the Scriptures.

Pastor Isaac Oyedepo, who was born on February 26, 1985, formally transitioned into his independent evangelical ministry on November 28, 2023.

The transition followed several years of service at Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners Chapel, the global ministry founded by his father, Bishop David Oyedepo.
