Barcelona sporting director Deco met with Marcus Rashford’s agents on Monday to start talks over making his loan move from Manchester United permanent, reports SPORT.

The LaLiga club is reportedly trying to lower the £26 million (€30m) buy option included in Rashford’s loan agreement from last summer.

However, Sky Sports News reports that Manchester United are unwilling to re-negotiate the transfer fee, maintaining their stance on the original figure.

Rashford, who has scored 10 goals and provided 10 assists in 34 appearances across all competitions for Barcelona, is said to be keen on staying at the club permanently.
