German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are reportedly considering Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen as a potential replacement for Harry Kane, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

Head coach Vincent Kompany is said to be impressed with the Nigerian forward’s prolific scoring form in Turkey.

Bayern remain in talks to renew Kane’s contract amid interest from Barcelona and Premier League clubs.

The England captain has scored 130 goals in 133 competitive appearances for the Bavarians, but management is preparing for all eventualities regarding his future.

Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray for a Turkish record €75 million last summer after a successful loan spell from Napoli, has already netted 10 goals in the Süper Lig and seven goals in eight UEFA Champions League appearances this season.

His decisive strike helped Galatasaray progress to the Champions League round of 16.

The 26-year-old’s contract with Galatasaray runs until June 2029. According to Foot Mercato, the player, represented by KBSport agency, is under serious consideration at Bayern Munich.

Kompany reportedly admires Osimhen’s early exploits at Charleroi and Lille, recalling the striker’s explosive performances in Belgium.

Galatasaray are keen to retain Osimhen, valuing him at around €150 million, and are unwilling to sell.

However, a European powerhouse like Bayern could influence the situation.

The striker has also expressed admiration for Juventus but insists he remains committed to Galatasaray.

“If it were possible for me to return to Italy, Juventus is a club where I would take great pleasure in playing. But I am very happy at the club I am currently part of. I am fully committed here,” Osimhen said.
