LaLiga president Javier Tebas on Thursday praised Cristiano Ronaldo for his Ronaldo Almeria investment, describing the move as a significant boost for the Spanish club’s long-term growth.

The endorsement follows Ronaldo’s acquisition of a 25 per cent stake in UD Almería through his investment firm, CR7 Sports Investments, completed last month.

Tebas noted that Almeria has rapidly climbed to become the fifth most-followed football club in Spain on social media since the deal.
