ValueJet announces daily direct flights between Lagos and Accra starting 30 March 2026, enhancing trade, tourism, and regional connectivity

Nigerian carrier ValueJet has announced plans to commence direct flight operations between Lagos and Accra, with the inaugural service scheduled for 30 March 2026, as part of its push to strengthen regional connectivity in West Africa.

Daily flights on the Lagos–Accra–Lagos route will depart from the new terminal at Murtala Muhammed International Airport at 8:00am, with return flights from Accra scheduled for 9:00am. Passengers can book tickets via the airline’s official website.

Speaking on the development, ValueJet Managing Director, Omololu Majekodunmi, described the route as strategic for boosting tourism, trade, and cultural exchanges between Nigeria and Ghana.

“We are thrilled to commence our regional service with the inaugural flight between Lagos and Accra,” Majekodunmi said. “This route will enhance connectivity and open new economic opportunities for both countries.”

The Accra route follows ValueJet’s successful international operations to Banjul, The Gambia, and the airline has hinted at plans to expand further to West African destinations including Cotonou and Malabo.

To support its expanding network, ValueJet recently added a CRJ-1000 aircraft to its fleet.

Passengers on the Lagos–Accra route can also expect promotional fares and special travel packages.
