Kwam1 De Ultimate ValueJet incident confirmed by NCAA’s Michael Achimugu, who said the singer splashed liquid on a pilot after boarding was denied

The Kwam1 De Ultimate ValueJet incident has taken center stage in national discourse after the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) officially confirmed the controversial details through its Director of Public Affairs, Michael Achimugu.

Achimugu, speaking in an interview with Arise TV, revealed that the veteran Fuji singer became unruly at the airport after being denied boarding.

The issue? A container of liquid exceeding the 100ml limit, a violation of global aviation security standards.

“He was informed he couldn’t board with liquid above 100ml. He refused to comply, became agitated, and during the commotion, splashed the liquid on the pilot’s uniform,” Achimugu stated.

The pilot, who had already boarded other passengers, exercised her authority and refused to allow K1 De Ultimate onto the flight.

The situation intensified when the singer allegedly attempted to stop the aircraft from taking off, an act the NCAA deems a very serious offense.

Achimugu condemned the incident, stressing that unruly behavior is unacceptable and that aviation rules apply to all passengers, regardless of status.

“This wasn’t about whether the liquid was water or alcohol. Anything above 100ml is strictly prohibited. The pilot acted in the best interest of safety,” he added.

NCAA Initiates Disciplinary Measures

The NCAA has already taken preliminary actions. While the pilot’s license has been temporarily seized pending internal review, the agency has petitioned the Attorney General of the Federation and the Inspector General of Police to prosecute K1 De Ultimate over his behavior.

Achimugu also raised further concerns: how did the singer pass through multiple airport security points** with restricted liquid in hand? He noted that FAAN, AVSEC, and NAMA are now part of a broader inter-agency investigation.

“This is not just about the pilot or the passenger. Everyone who contributed to this lapse will be held accountable,” he affirmed.
