The Prosperity Angels are without five players who have been called up to Nigeria’s U-17 and U-20 women’s national teams, creating temporary gaps in the club’s lineup during a crucial stage of the season.

Whyte Ogbonda said the team remains focused and capable of delivering strong performances with the available players, stressing that squad rotation will be effectively managed.

“We will make use of what we have as we want the players on national assignment to relax and deliver for the country,” Whyte Ogbonda said, adding that the club has sufficient quality to compete in remaining fixtures.

The coach maintained that Bayelsa Queens will continue to push for positive results despite the setbacks, highlighting the strength and readiness of the remaining squad members.

He further noted that the absent players are expected to return in time for the Super Six playoff tournament, where full squad availability could boost the team’s title ambitions.

Bayelsa Queens currently sit among the top performers in their group, alongside Rivers Angels and Edo Queens, who have already secured playoff qualification with matches still remaining in the regular season.
