The announcement was made by the Chairman of the Niger State Sports Commission, Danjuma Abdul Masu, who confirmed that the Niger Tornadoes bonus incentive is designed to motivate players and technical staff ahead of the decisive encounter scheduled for Sunday at the Bako Kontagora Stadium.

Under the arrangement, the team will receive a N2 million bonus package if they secure victory, with additional rewards structured around individual performance.

Players are expected to earn N100,000 for each goal or assist, while the technical crew will receive N500,000. Support staff are also set to be rewarded with N100,000.

Danjuma Abdul Masu said the incentive was introduced to boost morale and encourage maximum effort from the squad as they continue their fight to maintain their NPFL status.

Niger Tornadoes currently sit in 14th position on the league table with 43 points, just three points above the relegation zone, making the upcoming fixture against Kwara United a high-stakes encounter.

The state government’s decision reflects growing concern over the club’s position and the need for urgent results as the season approaches its conclusion.
