Portuguese manager José Mourinho is reportedly preparing for a dramatic return to Real Madrid, with the former Chelsea and Manchester United boss said to have already reached a final agreement to take charge of the club ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Mourinho, who is expected to leave Benfica this summer, is set to sign an initial two-year deal at the Santiago Bernabéu, with an option to extend for a further year depending on performance and club progress.
