Rivers Angels Federation Cup draw sees defending champions face Abia Angels in Round of 16 as Women’s President Cup fixtures are confirmed

Defending champions Rivers Angels Football Club of Port Harcourt have been paired against Abia Angels Football Club in the Round of 16 of the Women’s President Federation Cup, following the official draw announced on May 29, 2026 in Nigeria.

The fixture is scheduled to take place at the Uyo Township Stadium in Eket on Tuesday, June 2, as Rivers Angels begin their latest campaign to retain the national title in what is expected to be a competitive knockout stage.

The Rivers Angels Federation Cup draw marks the opening challenge for the reigning champions, who will be aiming to maintain their dominance in Nigerian women’s football.

Elsewhere in the draw, FC Robo Queens will face Remo Stars Ladies in Akure, while Ahudiyannem Queens have been paired with Heartland Queens in Enugu.

Awka will host a double-header involving Ibom Angels against Bayelsa Queens, alongside Delta Queens taking on Edo Queens in another highly anticipated fixture.

Plateau United Queens will meet Sunshine Queens in Abuja, while Confluence Queens are set to lock horns with Esthington FC in Enugu.

The Round of 16 line-up will be completed by Naija Ratels, who face 2025 runners-up Nasarawa Amazons in Kaduna, in what is expected to be one of the standout fixtures of the round.
