Paul Offor says Akwa United are focused on progressing in the Federation Cup as they prepare to face Wilbros FC in the Round of 64

Akwa United head coach Paul Offor has expressed confidence ahead of his side’s President Federation Cup Round of 64 clash against Wilbros FC, insisting the team is fully focused on progression.

Comments were made in an interview with the club’s media team, where he emphasised preparation, discipline and determination ahead of the knockout fixture in Aba.

Offor said the players have worked hard in training and are fully ready for the challenge, adding that the team’s immediate objective is to secure qualification into the next round of the competition.

“Our target is to progress to the next round. We will take each round as it comes,” Offor stated, highlighting a cautious but confident approach.

The Akwa United coach also acknowledged the club’s strong history in the competition, noting that the Promise Keepers have previously won the Federation Cup twice, in 2015 and 2017.

He added that this legacy serves as motivation for the current squad, who are determined to deliver a strong performance against Wilbros FC.
