Etim initially joined Midtjylland from Portuguese side CD Mafra in 2025 but found first-team opportunities limited.

He was subsequently loaned and later sold to FC Fredericia in January this year, where he enjoyed a more productive spell, scoring four goals and providing one assist in 14 appearances.

Midtjylland clearly believe the talented Nigerian still has significant potential.

The club hopes he can now follow the successful path of fellow Nigerians such as Paul Onuachu, Frank Onyeka, and Raphael Onyedika, who all developed at Midtjylland before securing moves to bigger European leagues.
