Read, who plays as a right-back for Feyenoord, has attracted interest from Nottingham Forest as the club look to strengthen their defensive options ahead of the new season.

Romano reported that Forest have already made their move with a formal bid, although Feyenoord’s response indicates that the Dutch club are not ready to sanction a deal at the current valuation.

The 20-year-old defender has developed through Feyenoord’s system and has become regarded as one of the promising young players in Dutch football.
