On Friday 11 September 2026, UEFA confirmed that Paris Saint-Germain sit top of the Champions League table after Matchday 1 of the 2026/27 league phase, following a 6-1 win over Slovan Bratislava and a record 69 goals across 18 matches.

Paris Saint-Germain, the holders, lead on goal difference. Bayern Munich are second after a 5-0 win over Bodø/Glimt. Both clubs are plus five.

Barcelona are third after beating Feyenoord 5-1. Manchester United are fourth after a 4-0 win over Sabah. Ferran Torres scored a hat-trick in the Paris Saint-Germain match.

Sixteen of the 36 clubs have three points. Roma, Shakhtar Donetsk, Fenerbahçe and PSV Eindhoven have one point from the two draws. Eighteen clubs have none.

Lens and Real Betis also won 3-2. Arsenal sit 15th after a 1-0 win at Napoli. Real Madrid are 14th after beating Inter Milan 2-1. Liverpool are 13th after a 2-1 win over Atlético Madrid.

Bodø/Glimt are bottom on minus five. Matchday 2 is on 13 and 14 October 2026, when Manchester City host Paris Saint-Germain and several beaten sides get a first chance at points. One win has already split the field by goal difference more than by reputation.
