Kogi ADC warns Dino Melaye as the party insists he is not a member and has no authority to speak for its leadership


According to a statement issued in Lokoja on Friday, the ADC Kogi Warns Dino Melaye dispute has intensified after the African Democratic Congress publicly declared that the former senator is not a member of the party in the state.

The party’s Public Relations Officer, Tayo John, said Melaye had no standing within the ADC, stressing that he was neither recognised in his ward nor involved in any official party structure.

He accused the former lawmaker of repeatedly interfering in party affairs while launching attacks against the state leadership.

John insisted that the party’s state executives remain independent and have no merger or affiliation with what he described as political marauders claiming ADC membership.

He stated that Melaye cannot speak for the party, nor can he influence decisions relating to its leadership.

Describing Melaye as a social media content creator, the spokesman argued that his public outbursts amount to little more than noise for online visibility.

He maintained that Melaye’s actions were inconsistent with the values and procedures of the African Democratic Congress, adding that he remains an impostor with no legitimate role in the party.

The ADC reiterated that only duly registered members can participate in its internal processes, warning that attempts to misrepresent affiliation will continue to be challenged firmly.
