Aliko Dangote praised Mr Eazi’s 18 businesses across Africa at his wedding to Temi Otedola, predicting the couple could become the richest on earth

Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, has praised singer and entrepreneur Mr Eazi, revealing that he never knew his son-in-law to billionaire Femi Otedola owned businesses in 18 African countries.

Dangote made the remarks in a viral video from the wedding of Temi Otedola and Mr Eazi in Iceland.

“I never knew that you have businesses in 18 countries in Africa. I must really congratulate you for being a great guy,” Dangote said.

The Dangote Group chairman lauded the entrepreneurial drive of both newlyweds, predicting that Temi and Eazi could one day surpass their parents’ wealth.

“Knowing that the two of you are always very charming, very entrepreneurial, I’m sure in the next few years we will take a back seat and call you the richest people on earth,” he added.

Dangote also spoke warmly of his long-standing friendship with Femi Otedola, chairman of Geregu Power and First Bank.

“Femi is not only my friend, he is my brother. Where you see me, you see Femi. If there is any brother that I have that is not of the same mother and father, that brother is Femi,” he said.

Temi Otedola officially dropped her father’s surname after tying the knot with Mr Eazi in Iceland, marking the union of two of Nigeria’s most influential families.
