Real Madrid defender Raúl Asencio has reportedly rejected a move away from the club on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, leaving José Mourinho’s side to reconsider plans to sign another centre-back before the transfer window closes.

Asencio, 23, is said to prefer remaining at the Santiago Bernabéu despite efforts by Real Madrid to find a buyer for the defender.
