AstraZeneca’s Q2 profit growth surged 27 percent, fueled by record sales in the key US market and a bold \$50 billion investment plan through 2030.

The British pharmaceutical giant announced a net profit after tax of $2.45 billion for the quarter ending June, with total revenue climbing 12 percent to a quarterly record of $14.5 billion.

Chief Executive Pascal Soriot highlighted the landmark investment as a reflection of the company’s confidence in innovative medicines and America’s critical market role.

The US accounted for 44 percent of AstraZeneca’s revenue, with a record 13 percent jump in US sales.

Amid potential tariffs from the Trump administration, AstraZeneca is moving some European production to the US, joining other pharma leaders like Roche and Novartis in shifting investments stateside.

The company aims for half its revenue to come from the US by 2030.
