Club president Ángel Torres says the Spanish side will consider offers for the 23-year-old midfielder following his return from an underwhelming loan at Crystal Palace

Getafe president Ángel Torres has confirmed that the Spanish La Liga club are open to selling Nigerian midfielder Christantus Uche following his return from a loan spell at Premier League side Crystal Palace.

Uche, 23, spent the previous season on loan at Crystal Palace but failed to secure a permanent move after an inconsistent campaign in England.

The attacking midfielder made 14 league appearances for the Eagles but did not record a goal or assist during his time in the Premier League.

He also featured in four UEFA Europa Conference League matches, where he managed to score twice, offering glimpses of his attacking quality despite a difficult league campaign.

Speaking on the player’s future, Torres said Getafe are not actively pushing him out but would consider a suitable offer if it arrives.

“Uche has a contract with Palace until the 30th, so we can’t do anything. He doesn’t mind coming back, and the coach wants him. If there’s an offer and we agree on it, we’ll sell him,” Torres told Sphera Sports.

The comments suggest Getafe are prepared to listen to transfer bids as they assess squad options ahead of the new season.

Uche’s situation is expected to attract interest from clubs seeking a young attacking midfielder with European experience, despite his mixed spell in the Premier League.
