At the company’s Annual General Meeting in Abuja, Managing Director Suresh Kumar reaffirmed NIPCO’s long-standing belief in the power of gas as an automotive fuel.

“NIPCO is poised to intensify its investment in CNG infrastructure nationwide as part of its commitment to sustainability and reducing reliance on fossil fuels,” Kumar said.

He noted that the company’s early recognition of gas’s potential 15 years ago positioned it well to lead in Nigeria’s ongoing energy transition.

According to Kumar, the company’s collaboration with the government will help fast-track access to gas-powered mobility and industrial applications.

“NIPCO’s partnership with the government to bolster CNG infrastructure nationwide will enable more motorists and industrial users to benefit from the economic and environmental benefits of gas utilisation,” he explained.

Kumar emphasised that the company’s expansion efforts align closely with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu and would help realise Nigeria’s clean energy objectives.
