Dangote TIME100 List 2026: Nigerian billionaire and Donald Trump named among TIME’s most influential people globally

Aliko Dangote and Donald Trump have been named among TIME’s 100 Most Influential People for 2026, as the global publication recognised their powerful impact on business, politics, and leadership discourse.

The list, released on April 15, highlights individuals shaping global conversations across sectors, with the Dangote TIME100 List 2026 recognition marking a significant moment for African enterprise on the world stage.

Dangote, featured in the Titans category, stands as the only Nigerian on the 2026 list.

His inclusion reflects sustained influence driven by investments in cement, fertiliser, sugar, and energy, alongside efforts to strengthen Africa’s industrial base.

Other prominent figures on the list include Xi Jinping, Benjamin Netanyahu, Mark Carney and Pope Leo XIV, as well as technology leaders such as Sundar Pichai and Neal Mohan.

This marks Dangote’s second appearance on the TIME100 list, following his first recognition in 2014.

The return underscores his enduring influence and expanding footprint in global markets.

TIME, in its citation, praised Dangote’s long-term vision of building globally competitive industries using African resources.

His investments have reduced import dependence and created jobs across multiple sectors.
