David Beckham becomes Britain’s first billionaire sportsman with £1.185bn fortune alongside Victoria Beckham, Sunday Times Rich List reveals

Sir David Beckham has become Britain’s first billionaire sportsman, after his combined wealth with wife Lady Victoria Beckham reached £1.185 billion, according to the Sunday Times Rich List 2026.

David Beckham billionaire status marks a significant rise from the estimated £500 million recorded in 2025, driven by expanded investments and growing commercial ventures across sport, business, and fashion.

The report attributed the surge in wealth to Beckham’s commercial and sporting interests in the United States, including his stake in Inter Miami CF, which has seen increased valuation following the arrival of global football star Lionel Messi and his contract extension until 2028.

Additional gains were also linked to a major property development project connected to the Miami-based club, further strengthening Beckham’s business portfolio in North America.

Lady Victoria Beckham’s fashion brand also contributed significantly to the couple’s financial growth, with reported revenues exceeding £100 million this year, reinforcing her position as a leading figure in the global fashion industry.

The Sunday Times Rich List 2026 highlighted several other notable entrants into the UK billionaire rankings, including heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury, music duo Oasis members Liam and Noel Gallagher, and Revolut co-founder Nik Storonsky.

Storonsky, in particular, recorded one of the fastest wealth increases on the list, with his fortune estimated at £16.4 billion, placing him seventh overall.
