EFCC arrests 15 suspects in Kaduna for allegedly transporting illegal radioactive minerals; investigations are ongoing

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 15 suspects for allegedly transporting illegal radioactive solid minerals.

The Kaduna Zonal Directorate of the commission intercepted the suspects on March 8, 2026, along the Suleja Maji Road while they were moving the minerals in three trucks.

Investigations suggest the materials were being conveyed to various locations across Nigeria for undisclosed purposes. The suspects are currently in EFCC custody, and charges will be filed once investigations conclude.
