The EFCC has launched an investigation into 30 individuals arrested at a suspected internet fraud training school known as “Hustle Kingdom” in Benin City, Edo State

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced the commencement of an investigation into thirty (30) suspected internet fraudsters who were apprehended at a purported internet fraud training facility, also known as “Hustle Kingdom (HK),” located in Benin City, Edo State.

Dele Oyewale, the spokesperson for the EFCC, confirmed the arrests in a statement released on Tuesday. He detailed that the suspects were initially apprehended by officers of the 4 Brigade of the Nigerian Army at their hideout in Benin City.

Following their arrest by the military, the suspects were handed over to operatives of the Benin Zonal Directorate of the EFCC on Monday, April 28, 2025, for further investigation into their alleged involvement in internet fraud activities.

According to the EFCC’s statement, the raided location bore the characteristics of a typical computer training center, equipped with desktop computers, workstations, and various computer accessories.

At the time of arrest, the Yahoo School has full trappings of a conventional computer school with desktop computers, work stations and other computer accessories. There was also a compartment stocked with various fetish items,” stated EFCC Spokesperson, Dele Oyewale.

Adding a peculiar element to the discovery, the anti-graft agency also reported the presence of a separate compartment containing various fetish items within the premises.

The EFCC further disclosed the items recovered from the suspects, which include a Toyota Corolla car, mobile phones, laptop computers, and MP3 players.

The statement concluded by assuring that “the suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are completed,” signaling the EFCC’s commitment to prosecuting those involved in cybercrime.
