Fani-Kayode Omokri attack Dele Momodu intensifies as both politicians respond to claims and exchange harsh words on social media

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, and former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, on Wednesday, March 19, 2026, launched a blistering verbal response in Abuja and on social media platform X, sharply criticising Ovation Magazine publisher Dele Momodu over recent political allegations, in what has now escalated into a public Fani-Kayode Omokri attack Dele Momodu controversy.

The exchange followed a lengthy post by Momodu, in which he alleged that Fani-Kayode was working on a “Plan B” should he fail to secure a political appointment from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and further claimed he had been seeking political support through intermediaries linked to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

Fani-Kayode, in a strongly worded response posted on his X handle, dismissed the claims and launched a personal counterattack, describing Momodu in highly critical terms while accusing him of spreading misinformation and engaging in political mischief.

He insisted that he had remained a central figure in Nigeria’s political landscape for over three decades, stressing that his role in national politics was neither accidental nor diminishing, despite recent criticisms.

In a series of emotional remarks, Fani-Kayode also questioned Momodu’s political trajectory and public career, arguing that his opponent lacked the credibility to comment on his political engagements.

Reno Omokri also weighed in separately, describing Momodu as “too immature for politics” and advising him to focus on entertainment-related pursuits rather than political commentary.

Omokri further addressed previous exchanges with Momodu, denying allegations of private reconciliation attempts and maintaining that his public engagements had always been transparent and consistent.

He also referenced his political standing, noting that he had received endorsements from political figures in Delta State and had been nominated for diplomatic roles, positioning himself as a disciplined actor within Nigeria’s political space.
