FCT Minister Wike approves promotion of over 2,000 FCDA and FCTA workers following recent examinations and career progression review

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has approved the immediate promotion of more than 2,000 workers of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) and Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).

The promotions follow examinations held from Tuesday, November 25 to Saturday, November 29, 2025.

Chairman of the FCT Civil Service Commission, Emeka Ezeh, disclosed on Wednesday that the promoted civil servants span 165 cadres.

Ezeh described the exercise as a demonstration of Wike’s commitment to staff welfare and career progression, assuring that promotion examinations will continue to be conducted as scheduled.

The FCT Civil Service Commission Chairman urged workers to prepare early for the 2025 and 2026 promotion cycles, noting that diligence and performance will determine advancement.

He added that promotion examinations are now conducted using a Computer-Based Test (CBT), enhancing the newly introduced digital platform approved by the FCT Minister.

The move is expected to boost morale among civil servants and strengthen service delivery within the FCT.
