According to Italian journalist Orazio Accomando of Sport Mediaset, the Turkish side is ready to table a paid loan offer worth €5 million, with a potential or conditional obligation to buy set at €37 million (approximately N62 billion).

Talks remain at an early stage, but Fenerbahce have made Lookman a priority target to reinforce their attack.

Atalanta, however, favour a permanent transfer over a temporary deal.

The Bergamo-based club value Lookman highly following his performances in Serie A and European competitions and are hesitant to accept any arrangement that delays a full sale unless the terms are particularly favourable.

The Nigeria international is currently at the Africa Cup of Nations, where he remains a key figure for the Super Eagles, but growing interest from abroad has intensified speculation over his future.

Last summer, Lookman was heavily linked with a move to Inter Milan and reportedly attempted to force a transfer.

Inter did not meet Atalanta’s valuation, and the player remained in Bergamo.

Progress in the current talks will depend on whether Fenerbahce are willing to convert the loan proposal into a straight transfer or include an obligation to buy under achievable conditions.

For now, negotiations are not yet advanced, but Fenerbahce’s readiness to commit significant funds suggests the situation could evolve quickly in the coming days.
